Installation Form
Flow meters are a beneficial tool to help manage water use. The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District (LENRD) requires flow meters on all high capacity irrigation wells.
All flow meters and any appurtenances (such as straightening vanes) must be installed by a certified technician. A list of certified installers can be found below. If you choose to install the meters yourself, you will need to become certified. The training dates for those sessions are listed below.
Each meter must have a totalizer that measures units of acre-inches, and must measure flow rate in units of gallons per minute.
The flow meters were required to be installed on every irrigation well in the district by January 1, 2018.
